What?
Petanque also known as Boules(French bowling), is in the same group of ball sport as Italian boccia, Spanish Petanca and not that distant from English Lawn bowls or American Ten Pin. We use a metal boule and play on surfaces that are types of gravel. However you may have tried a version with coloured plastic (water-filled) on sand!
